Accura Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Survey CAD Technician to join our team. We value a supportive and collaborative work environment where professionals can foster team growth by sharing knowledge and expertise.
This position is designed for a candidate with a strong background in land surveying and CAD design. You will process daily field survey data using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD to create high-quality survey drawings and develop 3D digital terrain models for engineering design. The role involves drafting and designing for various land surveying projects while adhering to strict CAD standards, including compliance with GDOT requirements.
You will collaborate closely with a team of designers, project managers, and survey crews to deliver accurate and efficient results. A key part of your day will involve maintaining strong communication to ensure field crews collect necessary data, as well as preparing and compiling detailed information for plans, as-builts, and final plats. You will also assist in preparing preliminary layouts and specifications, and occasionally support field verification to ensure drawings match actual conditions.
This role offers a pathway to advance toward professional certification while you maintain accuracy by checking calculations, plats, and worksheets to ensure all deliverables meet project standards. You will be expected to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines, working effectively with Survey Team members, Project Managers, and Professional Land Surveyors (PLS).
Salary is based on experience and will be discussed with the manager during the interview process.
