Sonalysts, Inc. is a small, 100% employee-owned business (ESOP) founded in 1973 with a focus on sonar analysis for the Navy. Since then, the company has expanded into a variety of Defense and Commercial spaces, supporting the Navy, Air Force, Army, and other diverse customers. Sonalysts relies on the skills and knowledge of its employee owners to solve the Department of Defense's most challenging problems while providing the best benefit to our customers.
Our workforce ranges from retired service members from all branches of the military to professionals with a wide mix of different commercial and technical backgrounds. From software development to operations analysis, engineering, wargaming, and large group facilitation, Sonalysts is capable of meeting any challenge.
By utilizing a small central corporate structure coupled with a largely decentralized approach to project management, Sonalysts remains agile and entrepreneurial. This allows our employee-owners to lead and support existing projects, get involved with developing new business, and win new work. If you are looking for a way to use your technical or operational knowledge to support solving challenging problems for the military while being afforded the flexibility and empowerment of being a contractor or potential future leader in a small business, Sonalysts may be the place for you.
We are seeking a Surface Warfare Operations Analyst to leverage your understanding of at-sea operations and tactics to help the Navy shape acquisition requirements. As a key contributor, you will help develop innovative technologies and prototype projects that expand the capabilities of the surface force and the Navy at large.
In this role, you will serve as a liaison between active-duty service members, engineers, and program offices on new acquisition programs. You will use your analytical and problem-solving skills to inform government program decisions and support industry and/or government teams in transitioning concepts from prototypes to fleet release. Your work will involve designing and executing modeling and simulation (M&S) studies to develop and refine tactical guidance, while applying your knowledge of the surface force to a wide variety of non-DoD projects and initiatives. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential to perform independent work directly with sponsors.
As an employee-owner, you will become an integral part of an innovative company that prioritizes work-life balance and professional growth. Our Flexible Time Program enables partners to arrange their work around personal appointments, parent-teacher conferences, and children's activities, provided the job is completed on time. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including Paid Time Off, a 401(k) Plan with company match, Health and Dental Insurance, and a Dependent Care Assistance Plan.
We are committed to your long-term success through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), Sales Bonus Program, and Special Performance and Retention Bonus Program. We also provide robust Professional Development opportunities, including Tuition Reimbursement, Online Training, and Targeted Skills Programs, as well as Relocation Assistance.
