Job Description

About the Role

As a Supplier Performance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational effectiveness and organizational business performance. Your primary mission is to identify and remove constraints that impact the flow of goods, ensuring improved on-time delivery from suppliers. You will act as a strategic partner to Supplier Development Leaders, customers, and internal stakeholders, driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

This role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex operational landscapes, break down functional and logistical barriers, and foster strong relationships with various partners and suppliers. You will be responsible for leading or co-leading critical business reviews, production meetings, and process improvement projects, utilizing change management disciplines to drive initiatives throughout the business.

Day in the Life

Your work will involve a dynamic mix of onsite supplier engagement and remote analysis. You will spend a significant portion of your time traveling within the Northeast Region, working directly at supplier sites to gain a deep understanding of their products and operational processes. This onsite presence allows you to effectively drive tasks to completion, including leading indicator data collection, material coverage tracking, and quality notification communication.

In the office or remote setting, you will collaborate across leadership levels within the company and the supply base. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, utilizing project management approaches to identify and mitigate risks. Your day-to-day activities will focus on developing mitigation plans, facilitating closures, and assisting with sub-tier management to ensure seamless product delivery.

Location and Travel

This position is based in the Northeast Region, requiring residency in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York. The role is structured as a remote position with a mandatory travel requirement of up to 80% of your time within the Northeast Region. You will work onsite at suppliers 80% of the time, with the remaining 20% of your time spent working from your home office.
