This position serves as a critical link in our security operations, supervising a team of security personnel while monitoring, auditing, and maintaining contract security requirements under the direction of the Security Director. You will maintain constant communication with Building Management to ensure the safety and integrity of our facilities.
In this role, you will foster a secure environment by patrolling buildings, grounds, docks, and worksites, while examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure. You will regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the plant entrance to maintain orderly flow and permit only authorized persons to enter. Your day-to-day responsibilities include watching for and reporting irregularities such as fire hazards or security breaches, and sounding alarms or contacting emergency services when necessary. You will also conduct daily checks of DVR video recorders to ensure 24/7 recording and manage any necessary maintenance or emergency repairs.
As a leader, you will directly manage 15-20 security guards and/or supervisors, carrying out responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training, and appraising performance. You will conduct written security officer and building safety audits, perform daily security post inspections to ensure continuous compliance, and interview management and co-workers to ensure security officers are performing to standards. Any deficiencies identified will be reported with immediate corrective action.
