Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePartner with maintenance to ensure all equipment remains in working order and meets safety standards
- check_circleOversee safety and accident prevention programs to maintain a safe and productive work environment
- check_circleEnsure adherence to DOT regulations, environmental compliance, and municipal ordinances
- check_circleMaintain accurate route documentation, service records, and regulatory paperwork
- check_circleReview weight audit activities and conduct route audits to prevent picking up cancelled customers
- check_circleResolve unusual service requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes with timely stakeholder communication
- check_circleSupervise drivers and helpers to ensure fitness for duty, proper uniform, and PPE compliance
- check_circleBuild and develop team talent by understanding career goals and providing coaching for advancement
- check_circleConduct route observations and coach drivers on safe driving practices and telematic system usage
- check_circleIdentify and develop cost-effective route assignments that meet business objectives
- check_circleAnalyze driver routes to identify unsafe conditions and collaborate with sales and dispatch to resolve them
- check_circleRespond to vehicle accidents and conduct preliminary investigations to determine root causes
Requirements
- verified3+ years of experience in waste management operations
- verified2+ years of supervisory experience in waste management, transportation, and/or logistics services
- verifiedAssociate's degree or higher in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred or equivalent in work experience
- verifiedKnowledge of DOT requirements for commercial vehicles
- verifiedStrong analytical skills
- verifiedKnowledge of PowerBI preferred
- verifiedComputer skills (Microsoft Outlook and basic Excel)
- verifiedDefensive Driving (Smith System 5 Keys)
Nice to Have
Associate's degree or higher in Business, Logistics, or related field. Knowledge of PowerBI.
