XPO is a top ten global provider of transportation services, featuring a highly integrated network of people, technology, and physical assets. We seek employees who thrive on challenges and can communicate effectively in all situations. Our mission is to leverage your skills and experience to drive positive results while ensuring a bright future for both you and the company. If you are looking for a growth opportunity, we invite you to join our team.
As a Freight Operations Supervisor, you will lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations, acting as the primary point of contact for workplace concerns and questions. Your day will involve developing and implementing strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands, managing tonnage and payroll, and planning hourly schedules to meet daily goals while lowering costs.
You will be responsible for ensuring customer freight is processed, handled, loaded, and delivered timely and damage-free. A key part of your role is coaching and developing employees on proper techniques and quality requirements, conducting evaluations, and determining corrective actions when necessary. You will also act as a champion of XPO values, holding your team to high standards while minimizing shipment rehandles through prioritized loading strategies.
This role requires active participation in internal safety and engagement committees, training employees on safety rules, and inspecting working conditions to ensure compliance with company, FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC, and DOT policies. You will conduct daily staff meetings to communicate corporate messages and revisions to policies, while also providing analysis and suggestions for operational improvements within the shift and service center.
Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, disability, veteran, or other protected status. All applicants who receive a conditional offer of employment may be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test.
We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer. XPO values diversity and inclusion, ensuring a fair and supportive environment for all team members.
