The Role

In this position, you will supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria, fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. You will encourage student engagement and participation throughout the day, manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, and follow lesson plans left by the teacher. Clear communication with school staff is essential, as is leaving brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher. The role requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk, and to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students, while observing and communicating across varied environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
