As a Substitute Paraprofessional, you will assist classroom teachers in providing essential support to students with special needs, promoting their maximum academic and personal growth. Often referred to as school aides, teacher assistants, or instructional aides, you will play a vital role in supplementing regular classroom curriculum and helping individual students thrive.
Your day-to-day impact ranges from providing instructional reinforcement to small groups to supporting students with their physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs. You will help manage the classroom environment, supervise students in various settings such as cafeterias and hallways, and ensure that specific provisions in students' IEPs and 504 Plans are followed.
