Saalex Annuitant Rehire Program - Subject Matter Experts

Saalex Corporation is an Engineering and Information Technology Services firm specializing in Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, and IT Services. We are currently seeking recently retired Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and senior-level personnel from the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), other military commands, and relevant defense contractors to provide intermittent or part-time services as needed.

Position Overview

  • Position Type: Part-time / On-call
  • Work Location: Remote
  • Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Essential Functions

Candidates will be engaged on an as-required basis. Saalex will provide insights into emerging opportunities and coordinate work schedules to align with each candidate's availability. Assignments, which may be based on specific contracts, task orders, or technical instructions, will depend on surge requirements, program schedules, and the availability of personnel within the Saalex Annuitant Rehire Program (SARP).

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of technical experience in areas such as Weapons, Avionics, Software Development, Modeling and Simulation (M&S), or related technical fields.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is required (e.g., Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering), tailored to the candidate's specific experience.
  • Security Clearance: An active Secret clearance is mandatory. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a security investigation.

Note: This role is designed for retired personnel returning to the workforce on a flexible, part-time basis.
