This position serves as a vital support link between the Campus Safety and Residence Life offices and the NCC student community. As a student worker, you will act as an assistant to the staff, reporting directly to the Director of Residence Life. The role is designed to provide essential clerical and administrative support while offering students a unique opportunity to develop professional skills in a dynamic campus environment.
Your day will be a blend of front-desk hospitality and behind-the-scenes organization. You will be the first point of contact for students, parents, faculty, and guests, greeting them warmly and managing phone inquiries with accuracy. Beyond the front desk, you will handle a variety of operational tasks, including processing parking applications and tickets, managing lost and found items, and assisting students with Residence Life forms.
The role requires the ability to multitask effectively in an environment where interruptions are common. You will utilize business-oriented computer systems for data entry, file maintenance, and word processing, while also communicating via base unit radio when necessary. Maintaining a neat and organized office space and assisting staff with various projects are also key components of this position.
We are looking for an enrolled NCC student attending classes during the academic year who brings a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills. Success in this role requires someone who is well-organized, detail-oriented, and flexible enough to establish priorities without constant supervision. You should be comfortable handling large amounts of information within strict time frames and collaborating effectively as part of a team.
Interested candidates should apply through the standard student employment portal. Please ensure your application highlights your availability during the academic year and your ability to manage concurrent tasks in a fast-paced setting.
