We are seeking a Student Supervision and Safety Monitor to provide support at a high school in the Bronx, NY. In this role, you will be the eyes and ears of the school, ensuring a safe and orderly environment for students. Your day will involve monitoring hallways, restrooms, and the cafeteria to enforce safety rules and maintain appropriate behavior. You will support student movement during class transitions to ensure timely arrivals and assist with lunch supervision.
Beyond safety, you will build positive rapport with students while modeling respectful and professional behavior. You will address behavior concerns using verbal redirection and de-escalation strategies, intervening in conflicts when necessary following school protocols. This role requires you to communicate concerns and incidents promptly to administrators while providing general support to staff as needed.
