About the Team
3 North is a 31-bed Medical Surgical unit at Atrium Health Mercy, specializing in the treatment of new onset medical conditions and providing continuum of care for a diverse population of adult patients. Our team addresses a wide range of conditions, including pancreatitis, diabetes, sickle cell, gastrointestinal issues, pneumonia, COPD, substance abuse, and mental health concerns.
Atrium Health Mercy is a 196-bed facility located 1.3 miles from Carolinas Medical Center. As one of two Carolinas Medical Center locations, we are proud to be Magnet designated in Nursing Excellence and a Planetree designated patient-centered hospital. For over 100 years, we have treated approximately 80 to 110 Emergency Department and 130 to 212 in-patients daily, combining human compassion with leading-edge expertise. As a full-service community hospital, we specialize in the care of seniors and complex surgeries, including foot and ankle, hip and knee, bariatric, and women's pelvic health.
