The Student Learner position is designed to complement your pursuit of an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) education with hands-on aviation industry experience. This role focuses on the observation of workers performing aviation maintenance and program operations, allowing you to engage with program personnel to gain a deep understanding of relevant processes, procedures, forms, and tools necessary for contractual program requirements.
In this capacity, you will observe, question, and learn about the organization and the various roles within the team. You will attend live and online training courses to become familiarized with Navy terminology, acronyms, technical libraries, logs, records systems, and ground flight procedures. The role also emphasizes safety, requiring you to learn about safety protocols and equipment.
