About the Role
Insight Global is seeking a Structural Engineer to join an end client's Civil Substation and Transmission Electrical Engineering team in Spring Valley, New York. This role serves as the Project Structural Engineer for overhead transmission projects, supporting the full life cycle of transmission and substation capital expenditure projects.
You will be responsible for transmission design and project execution relative to civil and structural engineering. Your day-to-day work will involve design development, cost estimating, construction specifications, and coordination with internal teams, contractors, and manufacturers. The position focuses on projects related to overhead transmission lines and electric substations, requiring you to prepare structural calculations, design packages, engineering layouts, and construction drawings.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. The position also includes travel within the service territory for project and field support.
