Store Color Technician

About the Role

The Store Color Technician is the creative and technical heart of our paint production area. In this role, you are responsible for tinting and mixing coatings to precise customer specifications, ensuring that every gallon matches the expected color consistently and efficiently. You will work closely with team members to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

This is a non-exempt position where your ability to distinguish colors and perform mathematical calculations is essential. Whether working with advanced technology or traditional methods, you will ensure accurate color matches and manage the production workflow to meet customer deadlines.

Hiring Process & Requirements

To join our team, candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED. A critical part of our selection process includes a Farnsworth-Munsell Color Acuity Quiz; a passing score is a mandatory requirement for employment in this role. Additionally, successful candidates must have a valid driver's license and the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Once hired, you will be expected to complete the Dunn-Edwards Color Pro Certification Levels 1-2 within the first 90 days of your position. For those interested in our Industrial Tint Center locations, the ability to be clean-shaven and wear a fitted respirator is also required.
