Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is central to maintaining an efficient, welcoming, and organized store environment where donated goods are transformed into resources for the community.

As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, assisting customers with their purchases, processing sales transactions, and ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and inviting. Your work directly supports the organization's goal of providing job training and employment services to people with barriers to employment.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of customer service, retail operations, and donation processing. You will greet customers warmly, answer questions about merchandise, and assist them with their shopping needs. A key part of your role involves operating the cash register to handle cash and card payments accurately and efficiently.

Beyond the register, you will help maintain the store's appearance by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items. You may also assist in the donation area by accepting donations from the public, sorting items, and preparing them for the sales floor. Maintaining a clean and organized store is essential to providing a positive experience for both customers and donors.
