Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with daily retail store operations. This role is central to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital part in maintaining an organized and welcoming environment for our community.

Day in the Life

In this position, you will be responsible for operating the cash register, handling both the cash register and managing cash and card payments. Your day will involve actively assisting customers with their purchases, answering their questions, and helping them find what they need. Beyond the register, you will help maintain the store's appearance by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and displaying racks, and tagging and pricing donated items. You will also assist in accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Maintaining a clean and organized store is a key part of the role.

Employees must follow store procedures for handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register. This position offers opportunities for overtime pay, weekend shifts, and performance-based raises depending on location and experience.
