Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with essential retail store operations. This role is central to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital part in maintaining a welcoming and organized environment for our community.

Day in the Life

In this position, you will be responsible for operating the cash register, handling both the front and back of the store. Your day-to-day activities will include greeting customers, processing transactions, and bagging items, and answering questions to assist with purchases. You will also be involved in stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and maintaining overall store cleanliness and organization.

Additionally, you will assist with accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Employees must follow store procedures for handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register. This includes tagging and pricing donated items to ensure they are ready for sale.
