Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is essential for maintaining a welcoming environment where customers can find quality merchandise while supporting the organization's broader goals. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of the store, ensuring smooth daily operations from the moment a customer walks through the door.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of customer service, transaction processing, and store maintenance. You will greet customers warmly, assist them with their purchases, and answer questions about products or services. A key part of your role involves operating the cash register to handle cash and card payments accurately and efficiently. You will also be responsible for bagging items and ensuring customers leave with a positive experience.

Beyond the register, you will contribute to the store's organization and readiness. This includes stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items. You will also assist in accepting donations from the community, sorting these items, and preparing them for the sales floor. Maintaining a clean and organized store environment is a shared responsibility, ensuring the store remains inviting for all visitors.
