About the Role

Walmart is seeking Stockers, Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing backroom bins, and ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized for customers.

Day in the Life

As a Stocker, Backroom, or Receiving Associate, your day involves a variety of physical and organizational tasks. You will be responsible for unloading delivery trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and stocking shelves with fresh inventory. This includes rotating stock to ensure product freshness and building displays to highlight promotional items.

You will also use equipment such as pallet jacks and carts to move merchandise throughout the store, while utilizing inventory systems to track and manage stock levels. Keeping the backroom and sales floor clean and organized is a key part of the role, as is labeling products correctly.

Shift Variations

Depending on the specific location and shift, your responsibilities may vary. Overnight stockers focus primarily focus on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while the store is closed. This ensures that the store is ready for customers when it opens the following morning.
