Job Description
About the Role
Walmart is seeking Stockers, Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by unloading deliveries, organizing inventory, stocking shelves, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. This position is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the store is clean, organized, and ready for customers. Associates play a key role in the daily flow of merchandise, from the initial truck unload to the final placement on the sales floor.
Day in the Life
As a Stocker or Backroom Associate, your day involves a variety of physical and organizational tasks. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and stocking shelves. This includes rotating inventory, building displays, and setting up promotional displays, and labeling products, and keeping both the backroom and sales floor. You may also use pallet jacks, carts, and inventory systems to move and track merchandise throughout the store.
Overnight stockers focus specifically on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while the store is closed, ensuring that the sales floor is fully stocked and ready for the next day's shoppers.
