Walmart Stocker / Backroom / Receiving Associate

About the Role

Walmart is seeking Stockers, Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and clean environment that enhances the shopping experience for our customers.

What You Will Do

In this position, you will play a key part in the daily operations of the store. Your primary focus will be on unloading delivery trucks, sorting merchandise, and organizing inventory in the backroom. You will be responsible for stocking shelves, rotating inventory to ensure product freshness and visibility, and building displays to highlight promotional items. Additionally, you will use tools such as pallet jacks and carts to move merchandise efficiently throughout the store, while utilizing inventory systems to track and maintain accuracy.

Day in the Life

Your day may involve a mix of physical activity and attention to detail. You might start by assisting with the unloading of incoming trucks, ensuring that all merchandise is accounted for and properly stored. Throughout the shift, you will organize backroom bins, prepare merchandise for stocking, and assist in keeping both the backroom and sales floor clean and organized. For those working overnight shifts, the focus will be on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while the store is closed, ensuring that the sales floor is ready for customers the next day.

Compensation and Incentives

This position typically pays $15 to $21 per hour, with opportunities for overnight shift differential pay, overtime pay, holiday pay, and performance-based raises depending on shift and location. Some locations may also offer overnight shift bonuses and attendance incentives.
