About the Role

Walmart is seeking Stockers, Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy, keeping the backroom and sales floor organized and store environment clean and efficient. Associates play a key part in preparing the store for customers by unloading trucks, sorting merchandise, and building displays.

Day in the Life

As a Stocker or Backroom Associate, your day involves a variety of physical and organizational tasks. You will be responsible for unloading delivery trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and organizing items in the backroom, and stocking shelves with fresh inventory. You may use equipment such as pallet jacks and carts to move merchandise throughout the store. The role requires attention to detail, including rotating inventory, labeling products, and setting up promotional displays, and assisting with truck unloads, and helping keep the store clean and organized.

Shifts and Opportunities

This position offers both overnight and day shift options. Overnight stockers focus on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while the store is closed.
