About the Role

Walmart is seeking Stockers, Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and clean environment that enhances the shopping experience for customers.

Day in the Life

As a Stocker or Backroom Associate, you will play a key role in the daily rhythm of the store. Your day typically involves unloading delivery trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and organizing inventory in the backroom, and stocking shelves with fresh merchandise. You will be responsible for rotating inventory to ensure product freshness, building promotional displays, and labeling products accurately. Using tools such as pallet jacks, carts, and inventory systems, carts, and inventory tracking systems, you will move and monitor merchandise throughout the store to maintain inventory accuracy.

For those working overnight shifts, the focus is on preparing the store for the next day. This includes stocking shelves and setting up the sales floor while the store is closed, closed, ensuring everything is ready for opening.
