About the Role

Walmart is seeking Stockers, Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining an organized, clean, and well-stocked environment that enhances the shopping experience for our customers.

Day in the Life

As a Stocker or Backroom Associate, you will play a key role in the daily rhythm of the store. Your day typically involves unloading delivery trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and organizing inventory in the backroom, and stocking shelves with fresh merchandise. You will be responsible for rotating inventory to ensure product freshness, building displays, and labeling products accurately.

Associates may use equipment such as pallet jacks and carts to move merchandise throughout the store, utilizing inventory systems to track and manage stock levels. Maintaining inventory accuracy and keeping both the backroom and sales floor organized are sales floor clean and organized are critical parts of the role.

Overnight Opportunities

For those interested in overnight shifts, Stockers focus on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while the store is closed. This allows the store to be ready for customers when it opens the next day. Overnight stockers may also be eligible for shift differential pay and bonuses depending on location and shift.
