About the Role
Walmart is seeking Stockers, Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized for customers.
Day in the Life
As a Stocker or Backroom Associate, you will play a key role in the daily operations of the store. Your responsibilities include unloading delivery trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and stocking shelves with fresh inventory. You will also be responsible for rotating inventory, building displays, labeling products, and keeping both promotional and standard displays, and ensuring the backroom and sales floor remain clean and organized.
Associates may utilize pallet jacks, carts, and inventory systems to efficiently move and track merchandise throughout the store. Overnight stockers focus on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while the store is closed, opening while the store is closed.
