About the Role
Walmart is seeking Stockers, Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy and keeping the store organized and ready for customers.
Day in the Life
As a Stocker, Backroom, or Receiving Associate, you will play a key part in the daily rhythm of the store. Your day typically involves unloading trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and stocking shelves with fresh inventory. You will also be responsible for rotating stock, building displays, labeling products, and keeping both promotional and standard, and ensuring that both the backroom and sales floor remain tidy and efficient.
Depending on your shift, you may use equipment such as pallet jacks and carts to move merchandise, and utilize inventory systems to track stock levels. Overnight stockers focus specifically concentrate on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while the store is closed.
