The Statistician/Mathematician is a specialized role dedicated to collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to solve and predict or mitigate complex intelligence problems. By applying rigorous statistical methods, you will provide the insights necessary to inform high-level decision-making. This position exists to transform raw data into actionable intelligence, ensuring that our partners have the clarity needed to address critical national security challenges.
In this role, you will design complex metrics projects that apply valid scientific techniques and utilize information obtained from baselines or historical data. You will plan and perform data collection, determining appropriate sample groups and parameters, while preparing and processing large volumes of data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis. A key part of your day involves developing software or collaborating with developers to automate data collection and processing, and producing results in the form of graphs, charts, tables, and metrics. You will also prepare comprehensive products to describe and document findings, providing briefings directly to decision-makers.
