About the Opportunity
Vaco is partnering with a growing organization in Jacksonville, Florida, to find a Staff Accountant for a direct-hire, fully onsite role. This position is designed to support the finance team's critical month-end close activities, financial reporting, and forecasting efforts. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data within a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
In this role, you will serve as a key partner to operational leaders, providing financial insights and supporting budget-related questions. Your day-to-day will involve managing the full cycle of month-end close processes, preparing journal entries, accruals, and allocations to ensure timely financial reporting. You will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and conducting variance analyses to identify trends and potential financial risks. Additionally, you will support external audits by preparing necessary schedules and workpapers, while continuously looking for ways to improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
