Amazon Payment Products (APP) Tech owns the technology serving all APP businesses, including Co-branded Credit Cards, Private Label Credit Cards, Global Installment Lending, and card-based Installments. To support the growth of APP and other Worldwide Payments businesses like Digital and Emerging Market Payments, we have organized APP Tech around the concept of worldwide feature delivery. Our focus is on investing further in the scalability, decoupling, and optimization of core services. We build and maintain the foundational services and features that serve global clients and customer journeys, covering Acquisitions, Servicing, Fraud Prevention, and Financial Offers.
As a member of the APP Core Services team, you will invent new features and develop delightful user experiences. We operate in a fast-paced environment using agile methodology and lightweight Service Oriented Architecture design patterns leveraged by Native AWS applications. We encourage innovation and expect developers to take a high level of ownership throughout the software life cycle.
If you are a strong Program Manager with experience and interest in high-volume websites, distributed systems, performance, and scalability, and are looking to deliver exciting and impactful features, this role might be the next step in your career. You will work on a variety of challenging problems with the potential to significantly impact Amazon's business and competitive position. You will collaborate with groups of experts and cross-functional colleagues, learning and growing by being exposed to multiple organizational problems in a short time frame.
Your work will involve discovering, defining, and applying scientific, engineering, and business best practices. You will partner with business leaders, scientists, and economists to translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables, including the design, roadmaps, development, testing, and deployment of highly scalable distributed services. You will coordinate and drive design and implementation efforts across multiple teams, anticipating bottlenecks, evaluating tradeoffs, and providing escalation management while balancing business versus technical constraints. Additionally, you will partner with scientists, economists, and engineers to help deliver scalable ML and econometric models while building tools to help our customers gain and apply insights.
