Constellation is the largest private-sector power producer in the world and the nation's largest producer of clean and reliable energy. Our purpose is to light the way to a brilliant tomorrow for all. For more than a decade, we have led in clean energy production, cultivating a workplace where employees can grow, thrive, and contribute. Now integrated with Calpine, our portfolio includes 55 gigawatts of capacity from nuclear, natural gas, geothermal, hydro, wind, and solar facilities, capable of powering the equivalent of 27 million homes.
Our culture is powered by passion and purpose. Together, we are creating healthier communities and a cleaner planet, with our people serving as the driving force behind our success. At Constellation, you can build a fulfilling career with opportunities to learn, grow, and make an impact. By doing our best work and meeting new challenges, we accomplish great things.
Over the past ten years, Constellation has invested more than $7.1 billion in capital across its nuclear fleet to support continued safe, reliable operations and long-term license extensions. Approximately $3.3 billion of that total has been invested in Illinois facilities. Looking ahead, Constellation is planning multi-billion-dollar investments between 2025 and 2030 focused on the continued operation, licensing, and performance of the Illinois nuclear fleet. These investments are distinct from major growth projects and are centered on sustaining the existing fleet at world-class standards.
These strategic investments support high-skilled jobs, local tax bases, grid reliability, and long-term affordability while avoiding the cost overruns and risks often borne by ratepayers under monopoly utility buildouts.
