About the Role
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Sr Principal Electronics Engineer - Payloads to join our team in Rancho Bernardo, CA. This role is primarily based within our office spaces to support program and business needs.
The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating Payload electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and testing products. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to operate effectively in a team of engineers and technicians. The role involves working on Stores Management Systems (SMS) and Suspension and Release Equipment (S&RE) related hardware and software requirements, covering the definition, design, integration, test, certification, and operation of these systems.
Work Environment & Logistics
- Location: This candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is NO remote, hybrid, or telework available for this position.
- Travel: Travel up to 10% of the time may be required.
- Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available.
- Clearance: A Secret clearance is required for start. The selected candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance (or active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility) and the ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program (SAP) access.
