The Test Solutions (TS) Center is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state-of-the-art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. TS products are located in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system product verification, qualification, test data analysis, and production test solution development. We are looking for an onsite Senior Test Equipment Mechanical Engineer in Tewksbury/Andover, MA, to be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems for all Raytheon products. This role is integral to ensuring the reliability and accuracy of our mission-critical systems.
In this position, you will research, plan, design, and develop mechanical test systems across diverse areas including electronic packaging, mechanical fixtures, automation, radio frequency, thermal, hydraulic, vibration, and electro-optical for production testing environments. You will integrate and validate these test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements. Your work will involve evaluating production installations, recommending design modifications to eliminate malfunctions, supporting onsite manufacturing builds, and troubleshooting mechanical fixtures to provide root cause corrective action analysis. Additionally, you will manage and release technical data packages to ensure seamless project execution.

Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging. Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis (GD&T). Design experience with cable harnesses. Experience with Configuration Management processes, application, and tools (e.g., Windchill / cPDM). Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging, materials, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design, or large assembly development. Experience with environmental stress screening of hardware (e.g., vibration, shock, thermal, etc.).
