Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform solid modeling using ProE/CREO design tools
- check_circleCreate 2D drafting drawings required to produce and procure hardware
- check_circleDevelop and maintain product designs and specifications for hardware
- check_circleReview requirements from dynamics, stress, thermal, and systems disciplines
- check_circleWork with manufacturing and suppliers to deliver critical program hardware
- check_circleSupport new designs and existing heritage applications in product development
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field
- verifiedUS citizenship required
- verifiedInterim Secret security clearance required to start
- verifiedExperience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling and drafting
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) (ASME Y14.5)
- verifiedExperience designing mechanisms
- verifiedHighly proficient with Creo Parametric
Nice to Have
Master of Science in an Engineering Discipline related to the basic qualifications; Experience as a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or CPE delegate or equivalent; Experience providing technical oversight of a subcontracted development effort; Experience operating as a part of integrated product teams; Experience with motors, bearings, gears, resolvers, and potentiometers; Experience with rapid prototyping and concept development to be first to market; Experience with MDA customers and consultants; Familiarity with LM Space processes, procedures, and tools (including EPDM/Windchill); Experience developing structures and mechanisms for missiles; Experience with model-based definition (Data Set Rating 6); Highly proficient with Creo Parametric; Experience supporting production of missile or spacecraft hardware; Familiar with releasing drawings in EPDM 9.1; Experience working with and overseeing manufacturing and/or outside suppliers; MRB trained and certified; Active secret security clearance.
