We are the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We tackle the most challenging problems, navigating thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. As a Data Center Construction Manager, you will be part of a diverse, upbeat, and creative team tasked with solving fascinating problems constructing Amazon Data Centers. Our data centers are industry-leading examples of energy-efficient and cost-effective designs. At Amazon, we are all Owners, leveraging unique opportunities to own everything from design review to construction bidding, execution, and final hand-off to our customers.
In this role, you will represent Amazon's owner's representative on construction sites daily, interacting with construction trades. You will lead your specific discipline—whether in construction management, building services, architectural, electrical, or mechanical engineering—while working alongside partner teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build data centers that directly support our customers.
This project site is located in New Carlisle, Indiana. Your day will involve direct interface with construction general contractors during the bidding, award, execution, punch-list, and close-out phases. You will manage and drive cost, schedule, and quality while managing construction contractors and vendors. Additionally, you will drive construction teams to troubleshoot and perform root-cause failure analysis on equipment failures, support commissioning and integrated system testing, and analyze construction progress and financials to report key metrics to the team and management.
