Ryan Fire Protection is launching a five-year, paid training program designed to turn motivated individuals into skilled professionals. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to earn while you learn, combining hands-on field experience with academic rigor. Participants will complete 19 courses through a nationally recognized university, ensuring a comprehensive education in fire protection systems.
As a Sprinkler Apprentice, you will gain practical, real-world experience under the guidance of industry experts. The role is physically demanding and requires a willingness to travel to various job sites. You will work at heights, utilizing boom lifts and ensuring all safety protocols, such as being tied-off, are strictly followed. This position is ideal for those who are physically fit and eager to build a long-term career in commercial construction.
The program is structured to advance your skills systematically. Every six months, you will receive a raise as you progress through the classes, moving from an entry-level apprentice toward a Foreman. While the standard Journeyman rate is $54.88/hour, Ryan Fire Protection aims to train you specifically for Foreman roles, which command a rate of $55/hour. The starting wage is $27.64/hour, with potential for a higher starting rate if you possess a bachelor's degree, military experience, or prior trade experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or other commercial construction fields.
We invest heavily in our team's future. In addition to structured raises and advancement opportunities, we provide full insurance benefits and a pension at no cost to you or your dependents. The program includes dedicated training to prepare you for leadership roles as a Foreman. Travel opportunities are also a key component of the experience, allowing you to work on diverse projects across the region.
To join our team, candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old. All applicants must successfully pass a drug test and a physical examination. A non-negotiable requirement for this role is a willingness to travel and a comfort level working at heights. Basic construction knowledge and tool skills are expected, along with the physical fitness required to perform the work effectively.
Ryan Fire Protection is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to succeed in our training program.
