Key Responsibilities
- check_circleEvaluate and treat patients in home and assisted living settings for speech and swallowing disorders
- check_circleCoordinate acquisition of adaptive communication devices and instruct patients in their use
- check_circleMaintain timely clinical documentation and adhere to billing and treatment schedule requirements
- check_circleRefer patients to other disciplines and agencies to address comprehensive care needs
- check_circleDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans for cognitive-communication and dysphagia
- check_circleEnsure a safe environment by identifying hazards and maintaining medical equipment
- check_circleSupervise clinical fellows, students, and support personnel in accordance with licensure requirements
- check_circleConduct patient screenings, examinations, and re-examinations to monitor progress and modify care
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to select appropriate therapeutic regimens
Requirements
- verifiedValid Speech Language Pathologist license in state of practice or proof of eligibility
- verifiedValid driver's license or reliable independent transportation
