Our mission is to create environments where early elementary students can learn about who God is and how to be storytellers of His goodness. We partner with parents in their role as primary disciple makers and equip volunteers to love, teach, and serve kids well.
This part-time role (20 hours per week) is dedicated to building a supportive system for children with special needs within our weekend services. You will serve as a bridge between families, volunteers, and the broader Kids Team, ensuring every child feels welcome, seen, and equipped to discover more about God.
In this position, you will partner closely with parents of children with special needs to foster a culture of inclusion. You will recruit, train, and empower a dedicated team of volunteers to provide consistent one-on-one and small group support. Your day-to-day involves managing volunteer relationships, preparing curriculum and resources, and ensuring safety protocols are clearly understood by all staff and families.
You will collaborate with the Early Childhood Coordinator to develop age-appropriate, Bible-focused curriculum and work with the Kids Director to create quarterly trainings that equip volunteers. Additionally, you will help execute Kids Camp and maintain a comprehensive Special Needs Ministry handbook that guides our team in confidently serving every child.
Note: Weekend service attendance is required for this role.
Candidates selected for an interview will be evaluated on their pastoral heart, leadership capacity, and alignment with our culture. The process includes a discussion of your experience working with children with special needs and your approach to volunteer management.
