We believe every learner deserves a safe place to grow. At New Story Schools, teams unite academics and therapeutic supports to help students ages 5–21 build skills for life. If collaboration, compassion, and data-informed practice drive you, join us.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. You will create and adapt curriculum, prepare lessons and materials to meet student ability levels, and deliver direct instruction and support across a variety of classroom settings.
We offer more paid time than many employers, including paid holidays, snow days, and summer breaks for select roles. We are committed to investing in your education and career growth with up to $5,250/year in tuition reimbursement and upfront support for credentials like BCBA, RBT, and BCABA, including free supervision and university partner discounts.
We provide real career pathways, not just a job, through our Leadership Development Program (LDP Accelerate) and a strong internal promotion culture. You will have opportunities across 16 Ohio locations to explore different roles, settings, and advancement paths within a broad network of schools and programs.
Our compensation includes annual merit-based increases designed to reward your performance, separate from market adjustments. We also offer a 401(k) with a 4% company match and immediate vesting, no waiting period. Comprehensive health and wellness support includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus wellness perks like gym discounts, mindfulness apps, and prescription savings.
We ensure support when you need it most with a free Employee Assistance Program offering confidential counseling, life coaching, and mental health resources. Additional financial protection includes company-paid life insurance, disability coverage, and Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions.
New Story Schools is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy status, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristic protected by law.
