This is no ordinary job, and our special agents are no ordinary individuals. During their careers, special agents carry out assignments in both investigations and protection, often assigned to multiple duty stations throughout the U.S. and abroad. The work involves providing protection for various protectees, conducting criminal investigations pertaining to the financial obligations of the United States, and planning and implementing security designs for National Special Security Events.

Applicants must complete 13 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, followed by 18 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD. Candidates must be willing to accept assignments anywhere within the United States and overseas by signing a mobility agreement.
