JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract (J-Tech II). As a Software Systems Engineer III, you will manage software and system projects while providing technical guidance to staff within a specialized work unit. This role is critical for solving technically unique problems in the defense sector, requiring you to interpret complex customer requirements and develop appropriate analytical and computational methodologies.
You will work independently on high-complexity projects, interacting regularly with customers and project managers to advise on technical challenges. Your day-to-day involves designing systems and software, conducting design reviews, and implementing solutions through coding or hardware integration. Beyond technical execution, you will plan and execute unit, integration, and system testing, participate in maintenance and sustainment activities, and may lead proposal efforts to support new business pursuits.
This position is located at China Lake and is not eligible for telework. It is part of a federal government contract requiring U.S. citizenship. Candidates must possess a current Secret clearance and be eligible for a Top Secret clearance.
Tasking for this role is in support of a federal government contract. The inability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance may affect employment eligibility. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their ability to maintain a DOD Top Secret clearance throughout their tenure.
