Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. As the world's leading mission capability integrator and transformative enterprise IT provider, we deliver trusted, highly differentiated solutions and technologies to protect our nation and allies. We operate at the critical nexus between traditional and nontraditional threats across all domains: land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace. Our employees solve the most daunting challenges our customers face every day, serving as a valued partner to essential government agencies and supporting every branch of the U.S. armed forces.
This position supports the Office of Space Weather Observations (SWO) under NESDIS, which is responsible for advancing space weather observational capabilities to meet NOAA programmatic needs. The SWX program maintains and extends space weather observations from various vantage points to provide comprehensive knowledge of the Sun and the near-Earth space environment needed to protect our technological infrastructure.
The Space Weather Ground Services (SWGS) ensures the successful implementation and operation of observing assets, maintaining the continuity of space weather measurements made by SWFO-L1 and the GOES-R series satellites. The SWGS Mission Operations Services (MOS) program provides a full mission satellite command and control solution to support the L1 Series with two new independently launched observatories.
As a Software Integration & Test Engineer, you will support Software Integration Test and Check Out (ITCO) activities across a new satellite ground system development program. You will partner with Systems Engineering, Cyber, Networks, Infrastructure, Architecture, Operations, Quality, and program leadership to support all Software Engineering activities throughout the full system lifecycle—from architecture and design through integration, assessment, authorization, and operational deployment.
