About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Senior Systems Administrator to join our growing IT team. In this critical position, you will ensure the stability, security, and performance of our customer's IT systems. Your work will directly support the IPT's mission by maintaining a robust RHEL-based infrastructure and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in our organizational environment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleTroubleshoot system issues including performance bottlenecks and hardware failures
- check_circleImplement and manage system security measures and access controls
- check_circlePerform regular system backups and execute disaster recovery procedures
- check_circleMonitor system performance and proactively resolve potential issues
- check_circleWork after hours and weekends to perform patching and maintenance
- check_circleConduct periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
- check_circleParticipate in research and development to improve organizational processes
- check_circleAutomate system administration tasks using Bash, Python, or Perl scripts
- check_circleProvide technical support to end-users and collaborate with IT teams

Requirements
- verifiedU.S. Citizenship required
- verifiedHigh school diploma/GED plus 10 years experience, or Associate's plus 4 years, or Bachelor's plus 2 years, or Master's plus 6 years in IT field
- verifiedMust be able to be granted and maintain a security clearance
- verifiedStrong knowledge of RHEL administration
- verifiedProficiency in Bash, Python, or Perl scripting
- verifiedExperience with system monitoring and performance tuning tools
- verifiedStrong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
- verifiedExperience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- verifiedRHCSA or RHCE certification
- verifiedSecurity+ certification
- verifiedMust be able to work onsite
- verifiedMust be willing to work after hours/weekend support
Nice to Have
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Experience with configuring and implementing Linux Security Compliance Enforcement (SCE) and FA Policy.
