We are currently seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our team and support a critical customer program in Huntsville.

About the Role

This position serves as a pivotal member of the software engineering lifecycle, working directly with the program Software Development Plan (SDP). You will drive the end-to-end development process, from requirements analysis and object-oriented design to coding, unit testing, integration, and support for formal test and delivery phases. The role focuses on delivering safety-critical and mission-critical embedded software for high-reliability platforms, potentially including aerospace, defense, or automotive systems.

As a Senior Staff engineer, you will define high-level software structures, establish module boundaries, and create interface contracts. You will be responsible for capturing, managing, and tracing requirements while utilizing modeling tools like UML/SysML for architecture documentation. This is a hands-on role requiring deep engagement with low-level hardware interfaces and architectural patterns such as layered, component-based, or event-driven systems.

Work Environment and Schedule

This is a full-time, onsite position located at a facility in Huntsville, AL, that requires special access. The schedule follows a 9x80 compressed work week, with every other Friday off. Due to the nature of the government contract, this role requires the candidate to be a US Citizen and obtain a Final Secret government security clearance prior to starting.
