As a Software Engineer - Realtime Control, you will support the development, deployment, and operation of our Plasma Control System (PCS). This role is responsible for implementing the real-time control functionality that directly enables high-performance, high-availability operation of the plasma at the core of our stellarator fusion power plant.
The successful candidate will work closely with the PCS lead scientist and CODAC (Control, Data Access, and Communication) engineers to design, implement, test, and maintain real-time control software and supporting hardware infrastructure. This position plays a critical role in ensuring reliable and high-performance plasma operation. You will report to the Director of Electrical and Software Engineering and work from our Knoxville, TN location.
