About the Team

Walla Walla Community College inspires all students to discover their potential and achieve their goals by providing relevant, equitable, and innovative learning opportunities and services. Our organization values a sense of community, diversity, health, humor, excellence, integrity, teamwork, innovation, personal and professional growth, and sustainability.

About the Role

The Social Media and Content Specialist is a part-time, high-impact role dedicated to translating the college's mission into daily, visible action. This position serves as the bridge between the institution's strategic goals and the community it serves, turning a mission statement into tangible results.

At its core, this role expands access and awareness by promoting programs and flexible learning options to prospective students, adult learners, and underserved communities. It strengthens community connection by highlighting local partnerships and student success stories, reinforcing the college's role in regional workforce development. By creating strategic content that guides students from interest to enrollment, the specialist directly supports enrollment growth and retention.

The day-to-day involves humanizing the college experience through storytelling—featuring faculty, student journeys, and classroom moments—to build a sense of belonging. The specialist ensures brand clarity and trust by delivering consistent, accurate messaging across digital channels, serving as a reliable source of truth during times of change. Whether launching new programs or communicating strategic initiatives, this role ensures the college's priorities are clearly articulated to the right audiences.
