Peraton is seeking an experienced SOC Operations Analyst to join its Federal Strategic Cyber programs. Based in Warrenton, VA, this role is pivotal in managing incident triage, coordination, and analysis to identify and assess technology and cyber impacts on IT assets and network infrastructure.
In this position, you will ensure the continuity of operations for emergency relocations of 24x7x365 operations, maintaining uninterrupted telecommunications, computer systems, cybersecurity, and networks. You will organize and support containment, investigation, and remediation efforts regarding incidents while performing quality assurance on service desk actions and Remedy ticket submissions. Your work will involve monitoring and cataloging SOC and SIM emails, submitting necessary tickets to prevent triage console backlogs, and supporting incident response engagements by partnering with other teams to maintain a deep understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
You will also monitor multiple data sources, including intelligence, media, and law enforcement reporting, to identify cybersecurity incidents. The role requires providing classified and unclassified cyber risk briefings and activity updates to civilian government agencies and community stakeholders, and potentially coordinating with external organizations, authorities, and senior-level leadership.
The application period for this role is estimated to be 30 days from the posting date, though this timeline may be adjusted based on business needs and candidate availability. By applying, you express interest in the role and the company.
