This position is essential to the final stages of our production workflow. You will gather, build, and order supplies based on production orders and customer specifications, ensuring that finished slit rolls are properly bagged, packed, and prepared for shipment. The role serves as a critical support function, assisting operators with loading and unloading processes while maintaining high standards for quality and efficiency.
Your day will involve interpreting production orders to identify job numbers, tray requirements, and pallet types. You will locate and gather necessary materials such as cores, slip sheets, and cartons. A significant portion of the role requires physical activity, including inspecting finished rolls for defects and moving slit rolls weighing between 23 and 75 pounds to the correct pallets or cartons.
You will be responsible for packing rolls to meet specific customer requirements, ensuring trays, slip sheets, and layers are perfectly aligned. The role also involves operating various equipment, including manual pallet jacks, shrink wrappers, trim balers, Intermac scanners, and the Wizard program. Additionally, you will assist operators during their breaks, act as a backup operator, and perform machine and plant housekeeping duties.
This position requires a commitment to 12-hour night shifts. You must be willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required to meet production demands.
