About the Team
The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and the San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS) are collaborating to expand their Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, and Allergy Section. The San Francisco VA Health Care System delivers comprehensive health services to Veterans through the SFVAMC and seven community-based outpatient clinics. Our Sleep Medicine program has recently grown to include a new overnight polysomnography sleep lab launched in Fall 2025, creating a dynamic environment for clinical innovation and expanded patient care.

About the Role
We are seeking an outstanding clinician with experience in Sleep Medicine to join our academic team. This position is designed for a professional who will participate in clinical and teaching activities predominantly within our ambulatory clinics while helping to manage and staff the new polysomnography sleep lab. The successful candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence alongside an aptitude for scholarship in clinical and educational endeavors aligned with the missions of the Division, UCSF, and the SFVAHCS.
You will receive an academic appointment at UCSF in either the HS Clinical or Clinical X series, at a rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) commensurate with your experience. Reporting directly to the Chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, and Allergy at SFVAHCS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sleep care for our Veteran population.
