Shift Lead

About the Role

The Shift Lead serves as a vital bridge between clinical operations and leadership, ensuring the hospital runs smoothly across all shifts. This position is designed to provide continuity and operational support, guaranteeing that leadership is always onsite to assist associates and clients. You will work closely with the Practice Manager and/or Chief of Staff to foster effective communication among clients, associates, Field Leadership, and Central Team Support.

The role is a dynamic blend of hands-on veterinary support and team leadership. On average, you will spend 80% of your time performing paraprofessional duties—such as managing client flow, educating pet owners on wellness plans, and assisting with procedures—and 20% on leadership responsibilities. This leadership component involves guiding the paraprofessional staff, adjusting schedules, and helping to build a culture of engagement and productivity, particularly when senior leadership is not present.
